Blood pressure (BP) is the force of the walls of the arteries as the blood circulates, allowing the blood to flow and deliver the nutrients in the body. BP increases with age, and more than 90% of Canadians will develop high BP unless they follow a healthy lifestyle. Hypertension is  the leading risk for death, and cause strokes, heart attacks, heart failure and kidney failure.  It is also related to dementia and sexual problems.  These problems can be prevented if high BP is controlled.
