One of the things that makes us uniquely human is our ability and desire to create. Creativity comes in many forms, one I would like to awaken, is creative health. Do you believe if you envision long enough dreams come into reality? If so, continue reading. The importance of living life to the fullest and joyfully is a blissful one. I like to live my life believing there are many ways each of us can create. One way is by incorporating and channeling our healing powers into our daily life. There are several traditional and alternative, healers and healing energy to choose from. We need to choose what works for us.
I have been on the path of healing for over 15 years and what I have realize the more open and connected I am to the world around me the more creative I become. Why am I linking creativity with health, the simple fact that a fruit or vegetable can be an object of art to paint it also can be healing. We just need to feel and trust in the energy it must heal. For hundreds of years our ancestor has used food to restore, cure our bodies, so why should it be any different today.
We must not forget how some foods can be a powerful medicine!
Although, good food alone without proper sleep and exercise, will not equal good health. Our health, is largely determined by how well we balance the energy we consume, expend and the rest we get in between all these activities. It is a trinity; one cannot go without the others!
I am sure, we all have been in a position which our health needed some attention, possibly from lack of sleep, or eating the wrong foods, or lack of movement in our daily life. It can be very tricky to pinpoint why we are feeling lethargic, or have some undesirable symptoms, thus we either live with the symptoms or see a health care practitioner. It is a double sword edge! If we seek health care maybe we will not get the response, we expected to hear. So, we might mask the pain, maybe by taking a pill that might give further side-effects. Or /And we live with the symptom long enough hoping miraculously for the pain to go away, which might just make matters worse. In my opinion, either decisions can sometimes, be unforgiving, we need to know we can create our own health. Our bodies did not get this way for no reason, we need to take charge of our lives, our choices. We own our bodies!
Creative Health can be as simple as one change to our trinity: sleep, movement and nutrition.
Perhaps we can start with implementing or incorporating one good habit a week, for instance; When I am craving, chocolate chip cookies I can easily eat 5-6 cookies with a glass of milk. Instead of feeling guilty, I choose to implement two good habits to counterbalance. Such as, going for a long walk and eating a nice big healthy salad. I am reprogramming my brain to create new habits. I am not suggesting that it is alright to eat chocolate chip cookies every day, I merely saying we don’t have to give up our vices right this instant, just create a new healthy one.
In the end it is your choice, we can feel blocked and stagnate, or we can get the right push, guidance and help. So, take the driver’s seat and ask for direction. See your favorite healers, doctors when you need to. This is your path, be open to discovering new healers and combinations of practices that work for you.
