Do you ever find yourself too busy to work out? Join the club, we’ve all made excuses. For many, staying active for only a half an hour daily can help improve or maintain a healthy being. I hear you saying “I don’t ever have 30 minutes to myself” but who said it had to happen all at once?
Before you begin working it is important to stretch your muscles. Try a short yoga sequence to loosen your body and increase blood flow. Doing this will help increase flexibility and give you a natural energy boost.
If you sit at a desk for 8 hours a day getting fit on the job can seem challenging, but it can be done. To increase productivity, many people work desk jobs in increments. For example, you could focus on work for 25 minutes and take a five-minute break in between. If you work this way, try doing leg lifts, arm curls, or squats during your rest period.
If you are constantly on the go, add wrist and ankle weights to your body for some extra resistance. With the extra weight added your legs and arms will become firmer. You could try doing lunges down the office hallway, but it may be smart and let your boss know your intentions, so it isn’t deemed as horseplay!
