How to measure your ideal weight! continuation of Achieving Optimum Health post

2 effective ways to figure out if you have a weight problem is as followed.

  • BMI body mass index(the national Institutes of health has a good BMI calculator)

Calculation for ex; height of 1.68 m

Ideal weight= 168cm-100= 68   height-150 divided by 4 / 168-150 divided by 4= 4.5

68 – 4.5= 63.5 kg for women/ for men add 10%.

  • Tape measure; measure the distance around the smallest area below the rib cage and above the umbilicus.  So if you measure your waist men should be classified obese if their waste size is above 40cm and women if it were above 37cm.

If you are not at your ideal weight (underweight/overweight), you start with the beginning nutrition and stay there until you have achieved your ideal body weight; then I advise to move in to intermediate plan, to further optimize your body to fight disease and live longer, more vibrant life.
