How to read insulin level

Insulin level.  Ask for fasting blood sugar test or FBS

Normal fasting blood sugar around 87mg/dl

Above 100mg/dl possibility of diabetes, 10 or more years down the road

Higher 126mg/dl is probably diagnosing diabetes.

*Another test would be to actually measure your fasting insulin level

Reading; Below 5 normal.

                 Higher than 10 suggests profound insulin disturbance.
