If you have IBS Irritable bowel syndrome

If you have IBS- Diarrhea you need to be careful about your intake of high fiber foods, as insoluble fiber can trigger IBS- You should not eat them alone or on an empty stomach. Insoluble fibers ( such as bran and fiber in raw fruits and vegetables) tend to affect those with IBS.

Your best option is to peel, chop, and cook vegetables which can be used for sauces, and to peel and puree fruits for smoothies. Taking a supplemental soluble fiber can be beneficial in order bulk up your stool. However many highly soluble fibers such as psyllium and inulin can cause gas and bloating.

Instead use Acacia fiber which provides excellent source of fibre without the unpleasant side-effects.
