Keeping clean and healthy during festive Season

The journey of a year is drawing to a close.  I like to cherish the moments, the places I’ve visited, the people I’ve seen.  The Holiday is a gift of healing, feeling, loving, acceptance and gratitude.  Here are some sparks over the holiday spirit, to share…

  • Drink lots of water; when enjoying a bubbly, it is important to stay hydrated! when the body is hydrated it can remove toxins quicker from the body, not to mention headaches after a few drinks, helps transport healthy nutrients to the cells and organs, keeping your skin moist. Staying vibrant in festive times!

  • Keep your house clean with aromatherapy; It is always nice to have wonderful scent roving through the nest, purifying the halls and appealing to our sense’s, memories and positive emotions.

  • Keep a balance; holidays are all around delicious food, a weekend of music, heart to heart talks with our family and love one’s. We all need to break from our routine, the clutter noise in our mind, the time, less spent in fun.  Seize the moment, laugh, let your body be free.

  • Be impeccable with your word, let it come from a place of authencity, speak the truth, say only what you mean and avoid using words to speak against yourself or to tale about others.

  • Chew your food well, do not over eat and eat small portion; this can help produce digestive enzymes which in return breakdown any food intake. If you foresee eating rich foods, digestive enzymes supplements can be another alternative. For ex; Lipase to help breakdown the fats or lactase for dairy products. Another helpful supplement is activated charcoal, to reduces intestinal gas.

  • Add Tart cherry juice in your eggnog recipe, it contains high levels of melatonin, an important sleep hormone, boosting quality of sleep and duration.

Wishing you all Happy Holidays and Good Health,

Anna
